Planned Giving/Bequests

Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services (MCACPS) has operated the Avondale Youth Center (AYC) continuously for almost 100 years, serving Muskingum County originally as a children's home for orphans. Since 1911 Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services has served the Muskingum County community through AYC and become over the years the state mandated agency to investigate child abuse and neglect, provide substitute care for children who the court determines are not safe in their own homes, and provide adoption services as deemed necessary by Muskingum County Juvenile Court.

Thanks to many who have included Children Services or Avondale Youth Center in their wills! Special projects and purchases have been made possible through the generous gifts in the past such as a new van and special equipment for AYC. Planned Giving provides a way to support the needy children of Muskingum County by providing needed services and facilities that may not be possible through the general budget funds of the agency. Planned Giving provides a lasting impact even when the donors are no longer living.

Planned Giving can be accomplished in various ways as simple as including Adult and Child Protective Services or Avondale Youth Center in a will or as a beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy, through the establishment of annuities, which can provide income to the donor during his or her lifetime and continue to give to MCACPS or AYC upon his or her death. Establishing trusts could provide for long term financial support for Avondale Youth Center or Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services.
